This Problem can be solved by loading and installing the newest Patch. Can be found at various sites.

that same thing is happenign to me, and to be honest its very disturbing, did you find a fix?
When Hearthfire is unticked, Skyrim starts normally. With Hearthfire ticked it crashes while loading. Why does that happen? The same thing happened when I downloaded Dawnguard. Now I don’t have either one. I don’t have any mods, either.
